<- 1987, I.B. Ivshina, IMV 428 <- O.A. Nesterenko, IMV 428. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, Poltava region, Ukraine. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG912576). Properties: utilizes hydrocarbons, uses n-hexadecane and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Cr6+, Ni2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
