<- 2011, T.N. Kamenskikh, IEGM, S11-4. Isolated from: Chenopodium rhizosphere, highway to salt dump, Solikamsk, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Properties: uses n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; produces exopolysaccharides at a concentration of 8.8 ± 1.6 mg/L (449); degrades ibuprofen; resistant to Cr6+, Mo6+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM); resistant to naproxen (0.625 g/L) in a mineral medium. (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
