<- 2011, T.N. Kamenskikh, IEGM, S9-7. Isolated from: soil, to salt dump, Solikamsk, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG637011). Properties: uses n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+, Mo6+, Ni2+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM); degrades ketoprofen (438). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
