<- 2013, T.N. Kamenskikh, IEGM, 1R-1. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR. Properties: uses n-pentane, n-decane, n-hexadecane, benzene, butanol and xylole as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+, Ni2+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
