<- 1994, IEGM, L.V. Zvereva, KP36. Isolated from: water, oilfield area, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG645204). Properties: uses n-decane, n-hexadecane, butanol, and benzene as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+, Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
