Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number KY194798). Properties: uses hydrocarbons as a sole carbon source; resistant to Cr6+ (5.0 mM), VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (50.0 mM), VO3- (150.0 mM) (286, 329); accumulates nickel (423). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
