<- 1995, IEGM <- NCIMB, NCIMB 11160 (Rhodococcus sp.). Isolated from: soil, country of origin unknow. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Properties: uses n-decane, butanol and n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Zn2+ (10.0 mM), Cr6+, Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
