Coidentity: NCIMB 13064, H. Curragh, S14/2/a3
<- 1994, NCIMB 13064 (Rhodococcus rhodochrous). Isolated from: sediment sample taken from under a tetrachloroethene storage tank. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR; demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T. Properties: utilizes 1-chloroalkanes (C3-C8) and 1-bromobutane (153); resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cd2+, Cr6+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
