<- 1980, I.B. Ivshina, IEGM, IMV 83 <- O.A. Nesterenko, UCM, IMV 83 (‘Rhodococcus longus’). Isolated from: soil, the bank of the pond, Dnepropetrovsk region, Ukraine. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG912559). Properties: uses n-hexadecane, butanol, xylene, naphthalene, octanol, pentanol, propanol, phenylacetic acid, phenol, and ethanol as a sole carbon source; resistant to Că6+ (5.0 mM), VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (100.0 mM), VO3- (150.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
