<- 1980, I.B. Ivshina, IEGM, IMV 344 <- O.A. Nesterenko, UCM, IMV 344 (‘Rhodococcus longus’). Isolated from: soil, field, Poltava region, Ukraine. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG912560). Properties: uses n-hexadecane, acrylamide, acrylonitrile, butanol, hexanol, glycerol, xylene, naphthalene, octanol, propane, propanol, phenylacetic acid, phenol, and ethanol as a sole carbon source; resistant to VO2+ (25.0 mM), VO43- (50.0 mM), VO3- (100.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
