<- 1995, I.B. Ivshina, IEGM, 350. Isolated from: active oil well, Belarus. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus jostii primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Properties: uses n-hexadecane and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5 or 8, 28oC).
