<- 2014, T.N. Kamenskikh, IEGM, B14-2. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus opacus primers in species-specific PCR. Properties: uses n-hexadecane, benzene, and crude oil as a sole carbon source; produces extracellular lipids at a concentration of 34.0 ± 1.4 mg/L (449); resistant to Mo6+ (5.0 mM); resistant to naproxen (2.5 g/L) in a mineral medium. (Medium 2, 5 or 8, 28oC).
