Properties: uses propane as a sole carbon source (62, 63); oxidizes a range of short-chain primary and secondary alcohols (C₂-C₈) and representative cyclic and aromatic alcohols (124); produces epoxides from ethene, propene and but-1-ene, although not from but-2-ene, pent-1-ene, or phenyl-propene (159); transforms thioanisole (257); adheres to liquid hydrocarbons (n-hexadecane) (320); resistant to n-hexane, ethanol (349); resistant to Mo⁶⁺ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5 or 8, 28^oC).
