<- 2012, L.V. Kostina, IEGM, NT1-1. Isolated from: rhizosphere, soil, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG637008). Properties: uses propane, n-butane, n-dodecane, and n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8 or 11, 28oC).
