<- 2011, L.V. Kostina, IEGM, NT3-4. Isolated from: rhizosphere, soil, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR. Properties: uses propane, n-pentane, n-butane, n-dodecane, n-hexadecane, xylene, and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8 or 11, 28oC).
