<- 1987, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM IK-16. Isolated from: soil, meadow, Irkutsk region, Russia. Properties: uses n-butane as a sole carbon source; resistant to lincomycin, polymixin and nalidixic acid when growing on propane and n-hexadecane (230, 246); resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM), Cr6+, Cu2+, Mo6+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
