Properties: uses hydrocarbons and crude oil as a sole carbon source (276, 325, 424); adheres to solid surfaces (321); degrades hydrocarbons (28, 334); used as a gel-immobilized biocatalyst (339); bioremediation agent for oil-contaminated soil (427); resistant to Cr6+, Mo6+, Ni2+, Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8 or 15, 28oC).
