<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 31DVM. Isolated from: bottom sediments, the Pim river, Tyumen region, Russia. Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (ethanol, propan-1-ol, propan-1,2,3-triol), aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, oxybenzene, xylol) and phenylacetic acid as sole carbon source; exhibits lysozyme activity. (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15, 16, 17 or 18, 28oC).
