<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 32DAF. Isolated from: bottom sediments, the Pim river, Tyumen region, Russia. Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, hexan-1-ol, pentan-1-ol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol, propan-1,2,3-triol) and aromatic hydrocarbons (methylbenzene, naphthalene, oxybenzene, xylol) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15, 16, 17 or 18, 28oC).
