<- 1988, I.B. Ivshina, 22-2R. Isolated from: water, observing hydro-geological well, Unvinski oil-extracting enterprise, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (55, 95, 96, 97, 245). Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T (96); shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR (245). Properties: uses hydrocarbons and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+, Zn2+ (10.0 mM), Cd2+, Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
