<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 2Sc. Isolated from: oil-polluted water, Kama river reservoir, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (92, 95, 245). Shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR (245). Properties: uses hydrocarbons and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
