Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T (4). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, hexan-1-ol, propan-1-ol), aromatic hydrocarbons (methylbenzene) and phenylacetic acid as a sole carbon source; resistant to Mo6+, Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 8 or 15, 28oC).
