<- 1988, T.N. Kamenskikh, P8 15-1. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, oil-extracting enterprise, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (95, 245). Shows positive result with Rhodococcus erythropolis primers in species-specific PCR (245). Properties: uses hydrocarbons as a sole carbon source (95); accumulates caesium ions (251); resistant to Cr6+ (20.0 mM), VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (50.0 mM), VO3- (150.0 mM) (286). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
