Properties: uses hydrocarbons and crude oil as a sole carbon source (95, 424); produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C12-C17) (74); bioremediation agent for oil-contaminated soil (28, 324); resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 8 or 11, 28oC).
