<- 1988, L.V. Zvereva, IEGM, МI-13. Received as Rhodococcus erythropolis. Isolated from: oil-polluted water, Un'va river, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus opacus primers in species-specific PCR. Properties: uses n-hexadecane and crude oil as a sole carbon source. (Medium 2, 5, 8 or 11, 28oC).
