<- 1995, I.B. Ivshina, 70/25. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus opacus primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Properties: uses n-decane, n-hexadecane, butanol, and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5, 8 or 15, 28oC).
