<- 1994, L.V. Zvereva NF2. Isolated from: oil-polluted water, Mezhevskoe oilfield, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG607375). Properties: forms cholesterol oxidase; transforms thioanisole (257), accumulates molybdenum and nickel (286, 329, 423); drotaverine hydrochloride-resistant (319, 338, 345); adheres to liquid hydrocarbons (n-hexadecane) (320); resistant to n-decane, 1-butanol, ethanol (349); degrades meloxicam; resistant to Cr6+ (5.0 mM), VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (50.0 mM), VO3- (250.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
