<- 2011, M.I. Richkova, IEGM, Sur 1. Isolated from: silt, Suksun’s pond, Suksun, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG637013). Properties: uses propane, n-butane, n-dodecane, n-hexadecane, butanol, and xylene as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8, 11 or 15, 28oC).
