<- 2014, T.N. Kamenskikh, IEGM, К9. Isolated from: oil-polluted waste, Sosnogorsk, Komi Republic, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG637027). Properties: uses propane, n-pentane, n-butane, n-dodecane, n-hexadecane, butanol, benzene, xylene, and crude oil as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8, 11 or 15, 28oC).
