<- 1989, L.V. Zvereva, Ba-8. Isolated from: water, the Baykal lake, Irkutsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis; (95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); resistant to Mo6+, Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
