Taxonomy/description: demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70^T (96); shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); (22, 55, 95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); resistant to VO²⁺ (25.0 mM), VO₄^3- (100.0 mM), VO₃^- (>250.0 mM), accumulates molybdenum and nickel (286, 423).
