<- 1970, I.B. Ivshina, IEGM, IMV 250 <- O.A. Nesterenko, IMV, IMV 250. Received as: Rhodococcus longus Nesterenko 1982. Isolated from: oil-polluted soil, oil-gas field, Poltava region, Ukraine. Properties: (4, 5, 55, 72, 97, 257). Uses butanol, hexanol, glycerol, xylene, naphthalene, octanol, propanol, phenol, ethanol (7); adheres to liquid hydrocarbons (n-hexadecane) (320); resistant to VO2+ (25.0 mM), VO43- (50.0 mM), VO3- (100.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
