Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T(4). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, hexan-1-ol, pentan-1-ol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol) and aromatic hydrocarbons (oxybenzene) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Cr6+, Mo6+, Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15 or 16, 28oC).
