<- 1979, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 821-F. Isolated from: stratal water, oilfield, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (2, 96). Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T(96). Properties: uses normal and aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, oxybenzene, technical xylol), and phenylacetic acid as a sole carbon source; degrades aromatic acids (p-oxybenzoic) (92); resistant to Mo6+, Zn2+ (10.0 mM). (Medium 2, 8, 16, 17 or 18, 28oC).
