<- 1994, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 52S. Isolated from: stratal water, oilfield, Perm region, Russia. Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons and aliphatic alcohols (butan-1-ol, butan-2-ol, ethanol, hexan-1-ol, octan-1-ol, pentan-1-ol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Cr6+, Pb2+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+, Mo6+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 8 or 15, 28oC).
