Isolated from: soil, windbreak, Kherson region, Ukraine. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Properties: transforms thioanisole (257); adheres to liquid hydrocarbons (n-hexadecane) (320); resistant to Cr6+ (5.0 mM), VO43- (25.0 mM), VO3- (>250.0 mM) (286). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
