<- 1979, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM B-174. Isolated from: turf soil, Oktyabrski district, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); (55). Properties: uses propane, n-butane and liquid n-alkanes (C5-C7, C11-C16) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5 or 8, 28oC).
