<- 1979, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM B-730. Isolated from: water, well, oil-gas field, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source; adheres to liquid hydrocarbons (n-hexadecane) (320, 323); adheres to solid surfaces (323); resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
