<- 1990, E.A. Elovikova, Har-2. Isolated from: sewage, Harbin, China. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); (95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C12-C17) (74); drotaverine hydrochloride-resistant (319, 338); resistant to n-hexane, 1-butanol, ethanol (349); resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 5, 8 or 11, 28oC).
