<- 1986, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM 27-M. Isolated from: water, spring, oilfield outline zone, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (22, 23, 55, 73, 95, 245). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); degrades dibutylphthalate (95); resistant to lincomycin, methicillin, oxacillin, polymyxin, cephalexin and nalidixic acid when growing on propane and n-hexadecane (230, 246); grows on medium with 10 mM cadmium (47); transforms thioanisole (257); degrades paracetamol (265) and meloxicam; resistant to VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (100.0 mM), VO3- (>250.0 mM) (286); produces biosurfactants when growing on n-hexadecane (327); uses n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source (327); accumulates nickel (423).
