<- 1984, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM B-305. Isolated from: sandy soil, Gomel region, Belarus. Taxonomy/description: (5, 22, 55, 90, 95, 96). Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70T (96). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); degrades dibutylphthalate and o-phthalic acid esters (95); grows on medium with 10 mM cadmium (47); accumulates caesium ions (251); resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 9 or 10, 28oC).
