<- 1985, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM B-1700. Isolated from: sandy soil, Gomel region, Belarus. Taxonomy/description: Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70T (96); (5, 22, 95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); resistant to lincomycin, methicillin, oxacillin, polymyxin, cephalexin and nalidixic acid when growing on propane and n-hexadecane (246); grows on medium with 10 mM cadmium (47); resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM). (Medium 5, 28oC).
