<- 1984, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM U-1942. Isolated from: core sample 36 m deep, Uljanovsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (22, 23, 90). Properties: uses propane, n-butane, liquid n-alkanes (C5-C16) and aliphatic alcohols (ethanol, n-propanol, n-butanol) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 5, 8 or 15, 28oC).
