<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 31DAF. Isolated from: bottom sediments, the Pim river, Tyumen region, Russia. Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (ethanol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol) and aromatic hydrocarbons (oxybenzene) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15 or 16, 28oC).
