<- 1987, M.V. Berdichevskaya, 33DVM. Isolated from: bottom sediments, the Pim river, Tyumen region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (95). Properties: uses normal hydrocarbons, aliphatic alcohols (butan-2-ol, ethanol, propan-1-ol, propan-2-ol) and aromatic hydrocarbons (oxybenzene) as a sole carbon source; resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 6, 8, 15 or 16, 28oC).
