<- 1988, I.B. Ivshina, 253-3. Isolated from: water, observing hydro-geological well, Chashkinski oil-extracting enterprise, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: (55, 95, 96, 97). Demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus erythropolis IEGM 7T(96). Properties: uses hydrocarbons as a sole carbon source; produces biosurfactants when growing on n-alkanes (C12-C17) (74); resistant to Pb2+ (20.0 mM), Cd2+, Cr6+ (10.0 mM), Cu2+, Zn2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2, 8 or 11, 28oC).
