Taxonomy/description: demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70T (96); (95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); exhibits lysozyme activity; resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
