<- 1987, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM GPK 363. Isolated from: soil, Polazna oil-extracting enterprise, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: demonstrates the reaction of complete identity with polyclonal antiserum against Rhodococcus ruber IEGM 70T (96); (95). Properties: uses propane and n-butane, liquid n-alkanes (C5-C7, C11-C16) and aliphatic alcohols (ethanol, n-propanol, n-butanol) as a sole carbon source (95); transforms thioanisole (257); resistant to VO2+ (12.5 mM), VO43- (100.0 mM), VO3- (>250.0 mM), accumulates molybdenum and nickel (286, 423). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
