<- 1988, I.B. Ivshina, OEGM 17M-2 <- T.N. Kamenskikh, 17M-2. Isolated from: snow, Polazna oil-extracting enterprise, Perm region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); (95, 97). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
