Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus ruber primers in species-specific PCR (245); (95, 97). Properties: uses propane and n-butane as a sole carbon source (95); resistant to Pb2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 5, 28oC).
